HUMANATURE - Maria Peña

1-23 November 2025

1.EQUILIBRIUM 4 (2023)

All the elements of nature play and interact with him: the wood, the fruits, the air of the atmosphere balance his mind. There is no past or future, only presence. Everything unfolds here and now, in a suspended moment where being and nature breathe as one.

2.  HOLDING HOME (2023)

Suddenly, my childhood home appeared in my memory as if carried by the wind. I felt I could take it in my hands and merge it with my body, until we were inseparable. The house and I, in the same open space, surrounded by the scent of fresh grass, while a blossoming hand sprouted from the earth.

3. HARVESTED HANDS 2 (2022)

Hands know the pulse of the earth, the secret thread that binds the seed to hope. Between their fingers, every strand and every texture holds the invisible story of the one who sows, the one who creates, the one who loves what they do.

4. HARVESTED HANDS 3 (2022)

Hands that plant dreams in the soil, that turn dust into sustenance, effort into art, and life into vibrant color.  Every stroke of this painting breathes gratitude and harvest, its texture lives with the heartbeat of labor, the gentle warmth of the sun ripening the days, and the quiet nobility of those who give without measure.

5. SPROUT (2022)

A face born of the earth, with forest hair and deep eyes, gazes toward the horizon. Its haunting, timeless stare seems to search the distance for the secrets the earth has yet to unveil.

6. LANDSCAPE UNDER THE SKIN (2023)

Beneath a cloudy sky, the desert unfolded its endlessness, revealing the vastness within. Through the gaze, one could glimpse the silent observer-serene and patient, dwelling beyond creation who waits calmly, beyond matter, beyond the realm of things. Without time, without struggle, only infinity.

7. EQUILIBRIUM 1 (2021)

In the vastness of the night, beneath the light that flows from the stars, she can clearly see her true face beyond the surface. It is that silent being dwelling within her inner universe, an ancient and wise reflection that holds her steady. From that invisible realm, it helps her to balance her outer world with the warmth of flowers, the scent of wood, and the gentle pulse of the earth.

8. PETAL EYES (2025)

I wonder how the world looks through the eyes of a flower petal. I imagine that, through its delicate tissue and majestic colors, the shapes of the outside world transform into poetry — soft whispers of light and life dancing in every hue.

9. NATURING (2021)

Grow in spite of the pain; let go of the withered leaves, for soon the flowers will bloom again to adorn your beauty. (Inspired in the song “Aguacero” by Muerdo)

10. WE ARE ALL THE LAND (2025)

Skin tones dissolve into shades of clay and sacred dust. In every face, ancient landscapes awaken — rivers of memory, mountains of breath. From the head blooms a burning waratah, symbol of the spirit that binds body to earth, being to origin.

11. BLINDLESS (2025)

Beyond the veil of the world’s illusion, the true being awakens — unmasked, free from emotions shaped by shadow. Certain of its infinity and its greatness, it gathers the scattered fragments of its forgotten self, weaving them into a tapestry of remembrance.

12 and 13.  FEET TO THE EARTH / NATURE ASSEMBLAGE (2021)

Let me feel how it enters through my feet — the living breath of the earth igniting my skin, awakening my blood. I can see the root unfolding within me, weaving an invisible bond between my body and the soil. In that moment, I am no longer just flesh; I become earth as well — seed, moisture, and ancient heartbeat (Inspired by the song “Semilla”  by Muerdo).
