Kulture Kitchen - Come Have a Seat at Our Table invites you to pull up a chair for an intimate night of food, stories, and connection. Hosted by Blakademy at our Community Kitchen in Balam Balam Place, Brunswick, each event features a host sharing a signature dish from their cultural background - think flavours from Mauritius, Samoa, Numbulwar, and beyond - woven together with personal anecdotes, family traditions, and the history behind the recipe.

Guests can expect more than a meal: join in preparing dishes, swap your own stories, and enjoy a relaxed evening filled with conversation, music, and laughter. Led by artists and community members, these workshops celebrate First Nations, global Indigenous, and POC culinary traditions, offering a hands-on approach to cultural learning and collective-making practices. Open to the general public, the events foster connection, understanding, and creativity across cultures.
