VIDEO ART COMMISSION

Blak Dot Gallery, in partnership with Channels Festival, are commissioning four First Nations artists to create new screen-based work to exhibit in the 2019 Channels Festival.

We encourage proposals from First Nations artists that encompass all new media, including single and multi-channel video works, Virtual Reality and experimental formats. We seek proposals that push boundaries and make innovative use of the gallery space.

We encourage proposals from emerging practitioners and are open to supporting artists in the creation of site-specific adaptations or new versions of existing works, or to provide top-up funds for projects that are already underway.
