The Eel/Fish Trap / Ngarrapan /Hinaki / Oma Akena Kune - is a large-scale (4 meter x 8meter long) contemporary interpretation of the Koori and Maori and, PNG eel/fish traps – a temporary installation at Blak Dot Gallery part of the Sydney Rd Music Festival.

The work will be a collaboration between our weaving communities, all respected for their approach to contemporary weaving. We are inviting you to ‘come weave with us’ and bring your weaving traditions to exchange.

It’s free so come join our creative team on Blak Dot Gallery lawns over three weekends to help create together the eel/fish trap.
