BELONGING EXHIBITION

Belonging-Exhibition.jpg

22nd Nov – 2 Dec | ‘Belonging Exhibition’ is a collaborative exhibition of works created by the children from the Out of School Hours Care and Art Programs at Brunswick East Primary School.

For this exhibition the children have visually and creatively explored the concept of ‘belonging’ and ultimately the concept of ‘self’ and what it means to belong somewhere, to something or someone. In exploring this concept the children have investigated a variety of mediums including; clay, sewing, painting, paper folding, sculpture, collage, print and drawing.

What has emerged is an eclectic and unique mix of the children’s creative expression and a journey into their sense of belonging.

One of our main motivations for bringing this show together was, that as artists, we wanted to enable the children of Brunswick East Primary to have an ‘Art exhibition experience’  – a little taste of the real thing.
