Possum Skin Cloak Makers Gathering Two

Following a great first gathering, Shared Skins, Shared Stories is bringing Senior Possum Skin Knowledge Holders, descendants and Cloak Makers back together for a big day of making, yarning and sharing knowledge.

Our first gathering created space to reconnect, reflect on the Possum Skin Cloak story and begin some important conversations about where the practice has come from, where it sits today and how we carry it forward.

Gathering Two is about continuing those conversations while we make together.

Throughout the day we will work with skins, share skills and knowledge, learn from one another and continue conversations around cultural governance, protocols, knowledge transfer, access to skins and our shared responsibilities for the future of Possum Skin Cloak practice.

Guided by Senior Knowledge Holders, the day is an opportunity to spend time together, strengthen relationships and share knowledge across generations, keeping making at the heart of the conversation.
